It's time for your New Year's resolution! Ok, son mentiras lol. We are not asking you to make a list and make a decision as to whether or not you're going to follow it. We are IGNITING something that's deeply embedded in you. It's time to get off your nalgas and do that one thing that's been burning inside of you. It's time to do that one thing you've been flirting with and haven't fully committed to. Stop being a voladita. The first step is to narrow down your passion. If you could have one thing in the world, what would it be? I'll use myself as an example. I want to run Adelante Mami full time to be able to help more women. I want to pursue my music career. I want to be able to work from home to have the flexibility to be with my kids. These are all jumbled together in pursuing a creative career and lifestyle. I don't really see them as goals for the year. They are goals for my life. Goals that don't have a definitive timeline or end date. If you make it a part of your lifestyle and you make a commitment to yourself that it's going to happen, it will.
Can I do this all by myself and be successful? Probably. Do I want to? Absolutely not. I know you're probably asking why? It's very simple. Support. I guess you can say I'm humble enough to know that two minds are better than one and that other people bring different ideas or perspective. Teams work if you have the right mentality. It's like a relationship. You have to constantly work at it! But we'll touch on this later. Just know that having the support from people around you helps to light a fire under your ass and hold you accountable. Sometimes we can't see the light within ourselves, while the people around us do. There will never be a good time to pursue your passion. There are a ton of excuses. There are plenty of road blocks. The hardest part is getting started. I can promise you that you will never regret trying. I met with a friend recently who is a ridiculously talented writer, fashionista, and creative visionary. She's literally who I want to be when I grow up. You can tell that some people just have IT. And by IT I mean, their craft just comes naturally. There are women like me who have to work hard for it because I don't know what the hell I'm doing. She's very private and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I told her that by holding out on to her gift, she's being selfish. When you don't share the gift God gave you, you are blocking your blessing. Through her art and her creative ideas, she has the potential to change lives. You must remember that you are the vessel.
It’s time. We are challenging you to finally put your dreams and your goals into action. This isn't for 2018. This is for life. I also feel like when you finally make up your mind to do something, all hell breaks loose. It means you're being prepared for a breakthrough. At least that's what I tell myself lol. Don't give up! You are more than capable. Meditate on your motivation. Check your heart. You don't have to be an expert and have all the answers. You just have to be ready to pursue it and you have to be willing to learn. What's the worst that can happen? We got you!
